By D. J. Isham
Finding these glasses was a Godsend. I've worn glasses all my adult life. Prescription glasses are expensive. I had just purchased a pair of Rayban polarized sunglasses at a cost of $462. While I was waiting for my Raybans to be delivered I started doing some research. The main reason I bought polarized sunglasses was for fishing. I found some fishing forums that spoke directly to the subject of best polarized lenses and the color of the lens. In one of the forums somebody mentioned Fitovers and somebody else mentioned Cocoons.I found these two styles of sunglasses on Amazon and ordered a pair of each. The Cocoons are made by a company named Lifestyle Eyewear. I received the glasses and was eager to see if they would fit my needs. When I tried on the Cocoons they looked too big on my face; almost like the glasses you get at the optometrist after getting your eyes dialated. But, I found included in the Cocoon box was a pamphlet which showcased other Lifestyle Eyewear products. That's how I discovered Vistana. I noticed they had a lower profile than the Cocoons. I found the Vistanas on Amazon and ordered a pair.I received the Vistanas and the Fitovers the same day. They were very similar in their profile. They are very stylish. Not too big at all. I chose the Vistanas over the Fitovers because the Fitovers have a little side window where the Vistanas lens wraps around the side all as one piece.I returned the Fitovers and the Cocoons and kept the Vistanas. I love them! They were affordable, comfortable, and stylish. The temples are made of a special material that allows you to make adjustments so the glasses fit your face with a custom fit.I returned my Raybans to where I bought them and got a $462 refund and only paid $45 for my Vistanas. I came out way ahead.I like my Vistanas better than I did the Raybans. If you wear glasses and are looking for sunglasses this is the answer.

As a prescription eyeglass wearer (and a light-sensitive one at that) I've always wanted to find a pair of fitover style sunglasses that didn't make me look like I'm suffering from an eye disease. I recently bought a pair of Solar Shield Panorama style fitovers at W@lm@rt for around twenty bucks. I like these, but saw the Vistanas, and thought I'd see if I would like them better and/or if they were better quality for twice the money, and I figured that way I'd have a pair for each vehicle I drive.Well, the Vistanas arrived, and after comparing them side by side with the above mentioned Panoramas, I can unequivocally state that they are not similar: they are identical. Every single detail, down to the smallest molding marks on an obscure portion of the frame are identical. There is no doubt in my mind that they roll off the same product line. The only portions that are different are the temples, which receive different branding. Since this is the case, I have to believe that the optics and protective qualities are identical also. I noticed that there's a brand called Haven on Amazon that sells a model that also appears to be identical, but they are priced about the same. Haven Over-Prescription Sunwear Hunter Sunglasses As of this writing, it doesn't look like Amazon sells the identical Solar Shield Panorama model. In short, I like the Vistanas a lot; they're comfortable, block essentially all the light, and look somewhat stylish. However, I figured someone who didn't care about the branding on the temple might want to pick up the same thing for half price...I can assure you, they are the same in all important respects.

These sunglasses are very elegant. I was concerned that they would look too big, but they actually look like regular sunglasses. I love the fact that the lenses are bent the way they are. Gonzo
