Product Description
Ryders Polarized Sunglasses Focus on the Path Not Just a Yogic Saying, But a Mantra for Athletic Polarized Performance When light hits a flat surface like the winding blacktop of today’s century, the grass alongside your favourite five mile loop or the freshly fallen powder stretching to the valley beneath your skis, it is concentrated and reflected upwards as blinding glare. Ryders POLARIZED sunglasses allow only the essential light to pass through, eliminating glare and giving you clearer vision, better depth perception and accurate colour representation. Made from scratch-resistant polycarbonate, Ryders POLARIZED lenses are optically correct to ensure that you see what is ahead clearly. No more squinting, no more headaches and no more glare. Now you will be able to focus on what is really important, like passing that person in front of you. “Over the last decade, we spent six years in the saddle and rode some 60,000 kilometers as we travelled around the Pacific Ring of Fire, completing our "cyclovolcanic" quest. By circumnavigating the world’s largest ocean on our bikes we saw hundreds of volcanoes, met the warmest people, and experienced the wonders of the Pacific Rim's rich and diverse cultures. Our Ryders Endorphin and Sonnet were the perfect sunglasses for this cycling odyssey. The polarized lenses reduced glare, stood up to the elements and allowed us to see the Ring of Fire, from sunrise to sunset, smoky summit craters to sandy beaches with breathtaking clarity...no doubt that they enhanced our trip!” Janick Lemieux & Pierre Bouchard - Global Adventurers

By Russell J. Schampers
Looks:I felt like these glasses looked good in person. It's hard to tell how big they are when looking online and i will say they seemed a little bigger in person than i thought they would be from viewing online - but I like that. I actually really like how these look on my face. Unfortunately that's about the only good thing I have to say.Fit:Obviously it's hard to blame a pair of glasses for not fitting my face. One could argue my face is the problem, not the shades. The only reason I call this out is because I feel like these could fit a wider array of people by having a bit more flexible / soft rubber ends where they go over your ears instead of hard plastic. When these are on my face they feel too tight and uncomfortable around my ear area. I have had 20 dollar glasses fit better on my face (that's typically what i buy) than these. Again, this is subjective and could just be my face.My last gripe about the fit is that when wearing these they fog up by my nose / brow area. I got these to be safer on the water when pulling wakeboarders and skiers behind my boat. They aren't safer if I'm constantly removing them to wipe the sweat from them and I don't typically wear a shirt on the boat. You can alleviate this by pulling the glasses further away from your face, but the frames that go around your ears are so "tight" that to pull them forward I have to "lift" the ear pieces a bit (if that makes sense) and it just makes the entire pair of shades feel silly.Frames:Incredibly cheap feeling. The first 20-30 times I opened the glasses and put them on my face you could hear creaking and crackling noises. I kept expecting them to shatter at the hinge or break. It made me feel like the frames were incredibly cheap and just really made me feel like I bought an incredibly cheap pair of glasses. I have had 20 dollar glasses that don't do this. The only thing I can say is that eventually they did stop making the snap-crackle-pop sounds but holy man, should a pair of glasses that are 3 times as expensive as the cheapies at the stores be making sounds like that? I for one don't think so.Overall:I bought these for polarized lenses for safety on the water and while I now have polarized lenses I can't say I'm happy with the glasses. These will "get me by" until I can go to a bigger city and try some higher end ones on my face. I would have rated these much higher if the frames didnt make snap-crackle-pop noises, the pair allowed me to set them further out on my nose away from my brow, and had more comfortable / flexible ear pieces.

By Amanda Vashon
I love these sunglasses. Ryders are the best. They're not my first pair. After eye surgery, my Dr. wanted me to be protected against UV A, B AND C. Was hard finding protection against UVC. The temples are wide enough so no sun can get into the side (which I need because I no longer have a lense in my eye to protect me). They look very modern and classey. They fit like wrap around without looking like wraparound. My first pair, right after surgery were Dutchess, which I love also (52mm), but found that these Rockslides at 41mm are just as good protection. It is so great to get fashionable glasses with all the UV protection without paying $300. Wonderful surprise recieving a case with them (unless I didn't read the add correctly). Also was nice not to pay shipping like I did with my first pair from Canada.
