Product Description
The Traditional Lens (Grey) These lenses allow in 87% of visible light. Gray lenses transmit light evenly allowing the wearer to see colors as they naturally occur. All of our Polaroid lenses are made of optical grade plastic polarized lenses with a 7 layer back side anti reflective coating to reduce back side glare. All Polaroid sunglasses block 100% of harmful ultraviolet light.
The Brown Lens (Including the above features) These Brown Polarized lenses allow in 78% of visible light. The Brown Lens is designed to block a high percentage of blue light. Blue light is at the dark end of the visible light spectrum and is the most difficult light to focus, especially as the eye ages. These lenses improve contrast by accentuating the brighter colors.
Lens Materials & Optics - All of our Polaroid lenses are made of optical grade plastic polarized lenses with a 7 layer back side anti reflective coating to reduce back side glare.
WHAT ARE POLARIZED LENSES?
Glare is everywhere and is due to the reflection of light on smooth surfaces. It gets worse when the surface is shiny. That's the case with water, snow and even certain roads or buildings. When driving, glare can be dangerous, blurring your perception and causing visual discomfort and eye fatigue. These polarized lenses eliminate 99% of horizontal glare and block 100% of harmful UV rays.
Gay lenses are the most color-neutral. They transmit colors evenly and are comfortable in bright, medium and intermittent light.
Brown lenses are becoming increasingly popular, especially among women. Brown lenses enhance color contrast and preserve depth perception for activities such as driving, fishing, winter sports and golf.
Mirror coated lenses offer increased light absorption in the bright sun, as will as fashion forward appearance.

Wish they made a wider pair!

Agree with previous reviewer - i like the design of the sunglasses, they are very easy to put on, but while each one would fit over my glasses, they are closer together than my glasses, so end up being to short on each side (for the record, they are 113mm from one side to another). Would be happy to buy another pair (and more, given they are very cheap for what they do) if they made them wider.

Good product

The glasses where all that I expected. Optics are good, the flip-up hinge is smooth and firm. Easy to clip on and off. Not a problem with this product directly, but there wasn't enough clearance between the lenses for my nose, so I had to trim about 1/16 inches with a Dremel tool to increase the spacing between the lenses. (My nose isn't THAT big!) I'm quite satisfied with this product. The item was shipped promptly and packaged well.

Great deal for price, but definitely some size issues

I just purchased these "true rectangle" flip-up clip-on sunglasses on August 10th 2011 right here on Amazon. Bought them because I just had to get prescription glasses for the first time in my life and I am very sensitive to sunlight, and the cost for "transition" lenses was outrageous. I need something for driving with, so I'll base my review on that and provide some photos. My review is also based on using these with a very "normal / standard" sized pair of nice Burberry brand rectangular prescription eyeglasses.PROS:- Great price. Only About $11.25 plus shipping at the time I purchased.- Dark enough to do the job, definitely darker and more protective than "tansitions" prescription.- Light-weight and adds hardly any weight / feel to my glasses.- Very easy to clip-on without harming my prescription lenses.- The clip part only makes contact with the lense right near the nose pieces.- The clip spring mechanism seems very sturdy so far.- Easy flip-up and flip-down.CONS:- Like other reviews mentioned, it's true - they are smaller than the average lense / frame.- The small factor makes them look a little strange / awkward to wear if you're concerned with appearance.- The quality of the plastic is good, BUT very thin and would be easy to break if not careful.- The clip-on mechanism is a tiny bit bulky, which again makes them look a little awkard if concerned about appearance.- The ease of flipping up and down is nice but you'll no doubt smudge prints on your lenses while doing so.SUMMARY:- Excellent deal for the price and it's great to have a quick simple solution without having to pay big bucks for custom sized shades, BUT you're going to make some sacrifices. Anyone concerned with appearance will be slightly disappointed and probably not wear them around your friends, as they do attract a little attention. The price offsets the fact that they are under-sized for the average adult lense / frame size. They will not cover the whole lense, but they will cover enough to use for driving in the sun and still see clearly without burn - not too light, not too dark, but also not filling the entire edges of your lenses. I recommend these for the price and value, just don't expect perfection in regard to style or size.PHOTOS:- I've never uploaded photo reviews on amazon before, so I'm going to attempt to do so now. Hopefully you will be able to see my photos as they are probably not directly conneted to this review.FOOTNOTE:- I'm still searching for something similar to these, but in a bigger / adult size, and maybe not so much aparatus-looking.
